TEMPORARY BOOKSHOP RELOCATION AND SLIGHTLY REDUCED OPENING HOURS 

We have now re-opened in our fabulous temporary pop-up space which is located 10 seconds away from our usual location (scan the street for the pink triangle!) 

The pop-up address is:

Please note that over the Autumn of 2025 the bookshop will NOT be open on Mondays. ​​

Due to the need for fire safety improvement building works at the Gay’s the Word (66, Marchmont Street) we have temporarily moved the bookshop a few doors down the street to 58-60 Marchmont Street, where we expect to be for between 6 to 12 weeks while the works take place. After this we’ll be moving right back to a newly improved Gay’s the Word. 

We are calling this the “Gay’s the Word Pivot and Pop-up”.

We're delighted that we’ll be able to continue to stay open in a new space and that our community groups can still meet over the Summer while these building works take place.

While there will be some disruption for a little while, it is really important to us that the building we occupy is as fire-safe as possible - especially for our neighbours living in the residential flats above us.

Please note that the Lesbian Discussion Group have reconvened their regular Wednesday meetings from July 9 and are currently meeting in the pop-up.
