While anyone over the age of 13 is welcome to enter this competition...due to annoying postal rules and regulations we are not able to ship to Northern Ireland, EU countries or any country outside mainland Europe. Therefore if you are located  in Northern Ireland, the EU or outside of mainland Europe the only way to enter is to ask someone who is based in the UK or an non-EU European country (e.g. Norway or Switzerland) to have this order sent to their address or your behalf. Alternatively, if you are planing to visit London between now and August - or know someone who is - you can also just select the Click & Collect option to place your order to enter this competition, and arrange for your copy of Heartstopper 6 to be collected in person. All Click & Collect Orders for HS6 must be collected by August 31st 2026.

To enter this competition, you must have placed your pre-order for HS6 on our website by 11.59pm on Wednesday 1st July 2026. Orders placed after this time will not be entered into the competition. 
Eligible prize entry applies to all pre-orders, be it prior to or following the April 23rd 2026 prize announcement (so if you have already ordered your copy, you are already entered in the prize competition!) 
An individual order equates to an individual prize entry; if you order two copies of HS6 via our website you are entered into this competition twice, if you order three, you’ll be entered three times, etc. People are free to enter by ordering as many times as they want to.
The winner will be chosen at random. 
The winner will be contacted privately by Gay’s the Word by 6pm on Thursday 2nd of July 2026 to let them know they have won, subject to our terms and conditions. Please ensure when placing your order that you have provided us with your current and accurate contact information, including an email address. If you have not heard from Gay’s the Word by 6pm on Thursday 2nd of July 2026 it is highly unlikely you are the winner of this competition. 
The illustration will be created based on a photo the winner will submit to Gay's the Word, preferably a digital photo sent via email. Gay’s the Word is not liable for the return of physical photos provided to us as these will be passed on to other parties. Failure to provide a photo in a reasonable, timely manner may result in the prize being offered to another randomly selected competition entrant.
The illustration will be delivered around the end of September 2026, so there will be a little wait for the winners to receive their prize which will arrive separately to the book. 
To enter you must be 13 years of age or above on the date you place the pre-order. Parental / guardian confirmation and/or documented proof your age may be requested by Gay's the Word. Failure to provide confirmation of the winner’s age to our satisfaction may result in the prize being offered to another randomly selected prize entrant. 
The friend / other person chosen to appear alongside the winner in the photo / illustration must be 13 years of age or above on the date the winning pre-order was placed. Parental / guardian confirmation and/or documented proof of that person's age may be requested by Gay's the Word. Failure to provide confirmation of their age to our satisfaction may result in the prize being offered to another randomly selected prize entrant. 
Gay's the Word does not accept liability for any illustrations that are lost or damaged across all and any part of the dispatch and delivery process. 
This prize is also on offer via three other UK queer independent bookshops (Lighthouse Books, The Common Press and Queer Lit) with each store choosing one winner each. There will be four winners in total.
